Making the band

Meet Maddie, Kelly and Taylor, the sirens of Say Chance.

Call It an act of YouTube fate: Say Chance got started when Cali-based guitarist Kelly Rosenthal, 19, commented on a vid of singers Taylor Broom and Maddie Freeman (both 17) belting their hearts out thousands of miles away. The girls quickly connected and developed a fast virtual friendship, eventually collaborating when Kelly moved east.

Today, Say Chance is repped by the same agency as Bruno Mars and the Black Eyed Peas and their style is drawing comparisons to Sara Bareilles. Their three-track EP on iTunes features soulful songs with ripped-from-their-lives lyrics like “Miss You Now” and “Parade,” both inspired by/ the same heartbreaking dude, “Every one of our songs is personal to us,” says Kelly. So, is this trio on the verge of their big break? We’d say the chances are fantastic.
